Cancellations:

As a courtesy to our guests and stylists, appointments must be canceled within 48 hours to avoid a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

Your appointment time is reserved for you - should you need to make any changes to your scheduled service, please notify us within 48 hours to avoid a fee. (For example, if you’re scheduled for a highlight but only need a haircut, please let us know so we can adjust your time accordingly.)

Lateness & No Shows:

While we will always do our best to accommodate our clients, if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may have to reschedule your service, and there will be a missed appointment fee for the scheduled service.

No-shows or appointments canceled at or after the start time of your service will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% the service scheduled. 

Returns:

Aveda products may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. All other products are final sale.

Adjustments:

Our top priority is making sure our clients leave the salon feeling confident and beautiful. To ensure each one of our guests’ satisfaction, we make sure all of our stylists are up to date on all of the latest techniques and trends through continuous advanced education.

All of our services are non-refundable, however if you should you need any adjustments to your hair, we proudly offer complimentary adjustment appointments within 10 days of your original service.

Children:

For the safety of your little ones, we kindly ask that children under 13 be accompanied by an adult at all times. Guardians must be present for the consultation portion of all services for children under 18.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

  • For your convenience, most services can be booked directly through our website. If you are a new guest, planning a major color transformation, or unsure which service to select, please call or text us at (925) 228-2010 (Martinez) or (503) 675-2291 (Lake Oswego). Our guest services team will ensure you are matched with the ideal stylist.

  • Your hair experience is personal, and finding the right match matters! We offer an interactive Stylist Match Survey directly on our website. In under 2 minutes, you can answer a few quick questions about your hair type, maintenance goals, and budget to get paired with your ideal stylist at either our Martinez, CA or Lake Oswego, OR salon.

  • We operate primarily by appointment to ensure dedicated one-on-one time for each guest. However, we occasionally have same-day availability or last-minute openings. We recommend calling or checking our online booking portal before walking in.

  • A haircut designed to revitalize your haiFor standard cuts, color maintenance, or highlights, a standalone consultation isn’t necessary; we always build one into your appointment window. However, for major color transformations, vivid/fantasy colors, color corrections, or extensions, we require a brief, complimentary consultation first. This helps us ensure we allocate the perfect amount of time and product for your goals.

  • To respect the time of our guests and our team, we require at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or adjustments. Modifications made with less than 48 hours' notice (including downsizing services, such as dropping a highlight from a haircut appointment) will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service.

  • No-shows, or appointments canceled within 4 hours of their scheduled start time, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the scheduled service.

  • We offer a 15-minute grace period. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your service to protect the appointments of guests following you. In this event, a missed appointment fee will apply.

  • To ensure a stress-free start to your relaxation time, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to secure parking:

    • Martinez Location: Complimentary street parking is available along Main Street and surrounding downtown side streets.

    • Lake Oswego Location: Street parking and nearby public parking options are readily available along A Ave and surrounding blocks.

  • For optimal results, please arrive with clean, dry hair (ideally washed within 24–48 hours) free of heavy root-concealing sprays or powders. If you are booked for a vivid or corrective color transformation, we recommend wearing a top you don't mind potentially staining.

  • Absolutely. We highly encourage visual references. Sharing photos during your consultation ensures you and your stylist have an aligned vision for your target shade, cut, and long-term maintenance.

  • Gratuity is not included, but always deeply appreciated by our team members. If you wish to leave a tip for your stylist, it can be added via cash or through our checkout system at the end of your visit.

  • For the safety and comfort of all guests, we kindly ask that children under the age of 13 be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the salon space.

  • Yes. A parent or legal guardian must be present during the consultation portion of any hair service for guests under the age of 18.

    • Treatments: Botanical hair and scalp repair treatments and professional smoothing services.

  • Yes, we specialize in premium extension methods to add seamless length, volume, or custom dimensional color. Because extensions are a highly customized service tailored specifically to your hair type and desired outcome, they require a mandatory in-person consultation. During this time, your stylist will match your color, select the ideal method, and provide a comprehensive price quote.

  • Appointment times vary depending on hair length, density, and desired results:

    • Haircut & Blowout: ~60 minutes.

    • Color Maintenance & Gloss: ~75–90 minutes.

    • Dimensional Balayage / Full Highlights: 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

    • Major Transformations, Extensions, & Color Corrections: 3.5 to 5+ hours.

  • Prices vary by each stylist's experience and expertise, as well as the length and density of your hair and the time required to create your look. As a proud Green Circle Certified Salon, we include a small, sustainable investment with our color services to offset environmental impact to maintain our commitment of being a zero-net-waste space. Your stylist will always provide a personalized, comprehensive price quote during your consultation before any service begins.

  • Every hair experience at Citrus includes a thorough, personalized consultation, a relaxing shampoo experience, and a professional blowout and finish.

  • Yes! We proudly partner with Aveda, a global leader in sustainable beauty. Every product line we carry and use at our shampoo bowls is naturally derived, vegan, and cruelty-free. Furthermore, as a certified Green Circle Salon, we recycle and repurpose up to 95% of our salon waste, including hair clippings, foil, and excess color.

  • Your confidence and satisfaction are our top priorities. While all services are non-refundable, we proudly offer complimentary adjustments within 10 days of your original appointment with your original stylist.

    Note: For services completed by an Apprentice or Junior Artist, a senior educator may be present during your adjustment to support the process and ensure you get the look you love.

  • Aveda products may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. All other product lines and boutique items are final sale.

  • We are passionate about fostering the next generation of top-tier talent through continuous advanced training. When booking with our Apprentice Students or Junior Artists, a senior educator may be present on the floor to assist, supervise, and guide the service.

  • Citrus operates two flagship salon locations:

    • Citrus Hair Salon - Martinez, CA: Located at 620 Main Street, Martinez, CA 94553.

    • Citrus Hair Salon - Lake Oswego, OR: Located at 136 A Ave, Lake Oswego, OR 97034.

  • Our Martinez salon regularly welcomes guests from across Contra Costa County and the East Bay, including Pleasant Hill, Concord, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pacheco, Benicia, and Martinez. Located right in downtown Martinez, we are a short 10 to 15-minute drive down I-680 N or CA-4 from surrounding East Bay neighborhoods.

  • Our Martinez salon is centrally located in Contra Costa County:

    • From Pleasant Hill: ~8–10 minutes via I-680 N.

    • From Concord: ~10–12 minutes via CA-4 W.

    • From Downtown Walnut Creek: ~12–15 minutes via I-680 N.

    • From Lafayette & Orinda: ~15–18 minutes via Taylor Blvd or I-680 N.

  • Our Martinez salon is located at 620 Main Street in the heart of historic Downtown Martinez, right near Starbucks and Five Suns Brewing, and just a short walk from the Martinez Amtrak Station.

  • Our Lake Oswego salon proudly serves guests throughout the Greater Portland Metro area, including West Linn, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Grove, Dunthorpe, Wilsonville, and South Portland.

  • Our Lake Oswego salon is conveniently accessible across the Portland South Metro area:

    • From West Linn: ~5–7 minutes via OR-43 N.

    • From Tigard / Tualatin: ~10–12 minutes via I-5 N and Boones Ferry Rd.

    • From Downtown Portland / South Waterfront: ~12–15 minutes via Highway 43 S.
